About me

My name is Clara Cabilla. I was born in Argentina and I live in Spain.

I have been drawing and painting since I was little; art has always been my way of understanding and inhabiting the world.

I work between painting, illustration and tattooing, exploring the relationship between technique, sensibility and narrative.

My work revolves around transformation, nature and the symbolic. I am drawn to the point where the ancient, the ritual and the sacred meet the everyday; where fragility and strength coexist without opposition.

Architecture, botany, rituals, relics and human figures are all part of one visual imaginary that speaks of memory, transformation and of that which transcends us.
